EVAN A. PAGE, P.L.S. Evan is a Boundary Determination Officer with the California State Lands Commission. He is also a Technical Expert for the Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors and provides consulting to professionals and other private clients. Evan Page began his career surveying in Michigan in 1981. His experience covers a broad spectrum of private and public sector work, including the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, state and county agencies, private surveying and engineering firms, his own private practice, and his current position with the State Lands Commission.
Mr. Page has extensive experience in boundary, construction, topographic, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys. He also has experience with land subdivisions, control surveys, and FCC surveys of telecom sites. In his current position, Mr. Page determines boundaries of State lands and locations of other state land interests. These boundaries are mostly riparian or littoral, involving the beds of navigable lakes, rivers, streams, coastline, and inlets.
Mr. Page earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Surveying from Oregon Institute of Technology, graduating with honors in 1995. He takes part in continuing education on a regular basis.
As a Subject Matter Expert for the California Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, Mr. Page has served as a member of the Professional Land Surveyor Exam Development Team twice and has graded the exam four times.
Mr. Page is active in the California Land Surveyors Association, where he serves or has served on the State Board, the Legislative Committee, and the Professional Practices Committee at both the State and Chapter levels.
The practice of a profession implies that education is an ongoing element. Mr. Page strives to continually increase his knowledge of the profession and views LSACTS as an excellent vehicle to share knowledge with like-minded professionals.
